Buckhout Inc is a medium equipment landscaping company serving Eastern North Carolina. Owned and operated by Leigh Buckhout.
We currently own and field a new Bobcat T66 track loader with implements, including stump grinder, power rake, brush cutter and various buckets. Our track loader sports wide tracks to float on and protect your turf.
We also field a 16' goose neck dump trailer with 8 cubic yards of capacity (that's 80% capacity of many dump trucks!) for transporting equipment, hauling materials and waste disposal.
We work in partnership and coordination with other small business owners to provide the most complete and professional services we can for our community. Whenever subcontracting services we get your pre-approval and feedback. Any subcontractor must demonstrate the same dedication to customer service, professionalism and integrity that we strive for at Buckhout Inc.
About the owner
Leigh Buckhout is the owner/operator, resident tree removal and climbing specialist. Joining the U.S. Marine Corps out of high school he became familiar with the discipline and leadership qualities to run a successful company. Learning how to repel and how to fast rope out of helicopters as an Infantryman with 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, India Company, laid the foundation of rope climbing work he does today. Leigh served proudly for 4 years, completing a deployment to Fallaujah, Iraq, a second deployment to Ramadi, Iraq and a third with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Leaving the Corps as a Sergeant Leigh pursued other endeavors, obtaining his bachelor's degree at East Carolina University. He continued to serve his community in other positions such as a police officer and Sergeant at Winterville Police Department and Registered Nurse at Vidant Medical Center. He aims to continue to serve his community through Buckhout Inc, with a focus on customer service, professionalism and integrity that sets Buckhout Inc apart.
